No, we’re not forming a Seccl band (though we do have a few keen musicians in our ranks, so we’re not ruling it out). But with a trio of talented new hires bringing a combined 60+ years of financial services experience, it’s just as exciting…
Introducing our experienced new recruits…
We’ll start off with our Partner Launch Lead, Hamish Warnock Hamish Warnock, who has only been with us for a few months, but is already an invaluable member of the Seccl team. Hamish is Chair of the Chartered Institute of Securities & Investments (CISI) Wealth Management Forum Committee, and former Senior Relationship Manager at Raymond James, so brings with him a great deal of industry expertise. He also became a father this year, so it’s fair to say he’s been juggling a few plates!
Hamish’s role is primarily to support advisers and DFMs in the launch of their own platform, using our API-powered custody and investment technology. His team will own the relationship with advice and investment management firms who have decided to work with Seccl – removing as much friction and complexity from their onboarding journey as possible, with a view to getting them administering client assets as quickly as they can.
In this role, he and his team support new client firms on their journey to varying or obtaining new permissions (if required), and help them to optimise the functionality, investment universe and product coverage of their new platform to match the needs of their end clients.
Also serving our advice and DFM customers is Michelle Angell – who recently joined as a Relationship Management Lead. In Michelle’s previous role, she served as a Platform Oversight Manager at Standard Life Aberdeen (Abrdn). Prior to this, Michelle spent nearly ten years at Winterflood Business Services, most recently in the role of Business Control and Head of Operations and Client Services.
At Seccl, Michelle will focus on building strong ongoing relationships with our adviser and DFM clients after they have successfully launched their platform – supporting them in the delivery of their new responsibilities as platform operators. We couldn’t be more thrilled to have her on board.
Last, but by no means least, Chris Hicks joins in January as our new Client Services Lead, bringing with him almost 30 years of financial services experience. His most recent role was as Head of New Business and Client Operations at Sanlam UK.
As well as leading the day-to-day operations of the company’s client services team, Chris will take overall responsibility for our service infrastructure – defining and optimising the way we support our clients as part of our mission to providing an industry-leading level of customer support.
Supporting firms in the advice and investment management community
At Seccl, we’ve been working hard over the last year to build an experienced and talented client services team, dedicated to supporting firms across the advice and investment management community.
Now more than ever, we see a huge number of businesses looking to take control of their technology and client experience with a platform of their own. This new team is designed to help them launch and operate one with as little friction as possible, so that firms can focus on what they do best – delivering an amazing client experience.
We’re convinced that Hamish, Michelle and Chris will add enormous value as we scale our presence in this market. Bring on 2022!
