We're proud to be B Corp certified

At Seccl, we want to hold ourselves to ever higher standards. That's why we're very proud that we're now B Corp certified - joining a global community of businesses working to make the world a better place.

B Corp

Being a B Corp means that we meet the highest levels of social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability - and that we're committed to maintaining them, for the long term.

Certification required us to be (rigorously) assessed across five key areas: People, Planet, Community, Governance and Customers. And we've set ourselves some equally robust targets to ensure continuous improvement against B Corp standards:

Planet Emissions
  • Octopus Group (including Seccl) were part of the SBTi pilot for financial institutions, and Octopus Group have committed to setting an SBTi near-term target, using a baseline of 2023 data.

They plan to submit their targets this year across all operations and financed emissions.

In 2024 we will work with our landlord to switch to a renewable energy tariff and provide us with waste data.
  • We will put measures in place once the Group have validated their near-term targets.
  • We have three offices, and our employees need to travel but we will put measures in place to encourage trains over flights.
  • We will also focus on our supply chain data collection and engagement of our top five suppliers.
